July 2010
"Together we can make a difference" has taken on new meaning since I have witnessed the hardship of my friends Mary and Bob Kisatsky who are slowly recovering from devastating injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision. On April 13, 2010 Mary and Bob were hit by a drunk driver. For me this event has been a life altering experience and I want to make a difference. I am hoping that together we can raise more funds and bring even more awareness to the horrifying effects of drunk driving in our community.
A group of friends and I have put together a team and are running in a Half Marathon in Wilkes-Barre on September 4th on their behalf. We are reaching out to our running community for support. As our fund raiser we are selling running shirts displaying our cause. The front will read, "Running the Road to Recovery". The back will display a picture of Mary and Bob. They are made out of a micro-fiber material and come in both male and female cuts. You can choose either a white, short sleeved shirt or a light gray, sleeveless. The cost is $20. If you are interested in purchasing one you can contact Melissa @ 956-6013 or Amy @ 233-4023.
